One of the more famous restaurants in Penang 🇲🇾that serves Middle Eastern cuisine is non other than Halab.

Halab is located inside a bungalow with plenty of seatings and beautiful interior at Chulia Street.
Their menu is several pages long and offers a wide variety of food to choose from.

The first dish we had was Grilled Kibbeh. Kibbeh is made of bulgur cracked wheat, ground beef and some spices, all rolled into a patty. It taste pretty flavorful and is something new to us.

We also ordered some Grilled Lamb Cubes which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Another dish which is the chicken briyani however was a bit too dry to our liking.

Halab also offers a range of fruit cocktails, teas that comes in Arabic teapots and some desserts.
Fakhfakhina cocktail (non alcoholic) was the one we ordered that has kiwi, mango, apple all blended and topped with some banana and whipped cream.

Overall, food prices are affordable and the place has a nice ambience and spacious setting that can accomadate a big group of people. Highly recommend to those of you that want to try out some Arabic cuisine.
